High School Summer Internship Program 2026
Internships are very crucial part of a student’s life. Completing an internship can help you better understand the daily work of professionals in your career interest. This is an opportunity to see first hand the environment in which you may someday wish to work.This internship program can help you to determine if it is a good match for your interests, skills and values. It also allows you an opportunity to ask specific questions about that career field and interact with local professionals. The employees of Ferrell Hospital would like to give you the opportunity to help you explore your interest in healthcare. We are offering a 8 week program where you can job shadow with professionals 2 days a week to get direct experience in the field of your choice.
*If you complete all the requirements of the internship, you will receive FREE credit from SIC.
2026 Internship Program Schedule:
Application Deadline: May 1st
Interviews: May 11th - 15th
Orientation: Week of June 1st
Internship Program: June 1st - July 24th
Reflection Day: Week of July 27th

High School Summer Internship Program Application - 2 Letters of Recommendation - from teachers, administrators, community members or healthcare professionals.
- Updated Resume
- Copy of your High School Transcript
